From a one-man operation in Mount Gambier to Adelaide's most respected truck bull bar manufacturer — the Chris Barron Engineering story.

1978

Chris Barron begins fabricating custom bull bars, tray tops and roof racks in Mount Gambier as a sole trader.

1980s

The business grows to 10 employees as demand for quality aluminium bull bars increases across regional SA.

1989

Chris relocates the operation to Adelaide, restarting in 1990 with a specialist focus on aluminium and steel bull bars for trucks.

2020

Sons Robert and David join the business. CNC technology introduced, dramatically increasing production precision and capacity.

Today

CBE employs over 18 skilled tradespeople and supplies bull bars to fleets across Australia. Still family owned and operated.

Heavy-wall pipe, 6mm plate uprights, drilled and inserted joints — never butt-welded. We do it right.
